Run what runs the worldThis Position reports to: Chef de service, ApprovisionnementAs a Production Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to generate a detailed production schedule based on the production plan to maximize the use of resources and meet established production specifications and schedules. Each day, you will feed information on production capacity issues and material availability. You will also showcase your expertise by releasing manufacturing work orders.This role is contributing to the Electrification, Smart Buildings division of ABB and is located in Dorval.The work model for the role is hybrid, with 3 days per week at the office.Your Role: Own the Challenge
  • Creates and maintains a detailed production schedule from the production plan.
  • Releases manufacturing work orders.
  • Executes daily, plant-level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules.
  • Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan obtained from the Production Planners.
  • Monitors schedule adherence, identifies key root causes for deviation, and takes follow-up improvement action.
  • Feeds information on production capacity issues and material availability to Production Planners.
What it takes to run what runs the world
  • Verbal and written communication skills in both French and English are mandatory. French is required. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in Resource Management , Capacity Planning ,Order Handling & Fullfillment
  • Data Anlaysis & Reporting skills using power using Excel and BI tools
  • Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software
  • Inventory Management & Control process knowledge
  • SAP , Empower , Salesforce softwares knowledge
  • Customer service orientation
