- Apply internal procedures and external quality standards
- Select and / or design parts or a subset of parts using a computer-aided design (CAO)
- Lead or participate in investigation and problem-solving activities
- Obtain the technical specifications of their parts from suppliers and ensure that they meet the requirements of STERIS
- Carry out the following technical drawings: parts or sub-assembly of parts, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, workshop plans, manufacturing plans, assembly plans, service plans, illustrations
- Design a portion of the system under the alignment of an engineer
- Enter or provide required information in MRP and PLM systems: part creation, product bill of materials, engineering change requests, etc
- Make all the components of a prototype (doors, pumps, tanks, cabinets, plumbing, pneumatics) and make the necessary adjustments to their installation / operation in accordance with verbal or written directive
- Contribute to various continuous improvement initiatives within the department
- Apply DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) principles
- DEC / Associate Degree in Mechanical engineering
- 6 years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Up to 9 years of relevant experience in a related field preferred
- Experience with use of PTC Creo (preferred)
- English preferred, both written and spoken
- Experience in a regulated industry preferred
