
Senior Water Resources Engineer

- Directing multi-disciplinary project teams;
- Providing senior technical input for delivery of water resources projects to our public, mining, industrial, private and First Nations clients;
- Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies, assessments, modelling, preliminary and detail design, cost estimates, specifications and input to contract documents;
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
- Developing site-wide and tailings storage facility, life of asset water balance models for mining clients;
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D flow and transport models;
- Leading floodplain and flood hazard mapping studies
- Developing flood protection designs;
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;
- Developing and executing field investigation programs and construction support services;
- Preparing erosion and sediment control designs;
- Interacting with client representatives;
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
- Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
- Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline. (preferred)
- Professional engineering registration (i.e. P.Eng.) within provincial guidelines. (required)
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Experience in mine and industrial water management
- Collection and interpretation of climatologic and hydrometric data, including statistical/frequency analysis and the development of climate projections.
