- Establish and maintain working relationships with relevant Governmental Authorities and Stakeholders as well as Aboriginal communities through the City Representative.
- Effective operation of the Environmental Management Plan on a day-to-day basis.
- Effective operation of the Sustainability Plan on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure environmental issues are addressed and requirements are met by the Environmental Reference Documents, Environmental Guideline Documents, and the Project Agreement.
- Maintain a log of monitoring and inspection events.
- List and identify any species-at-risk encounters regardless of if they are federally or provincially listed, terrestrial or aquatic.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities daily for compliance with environmental management obligations.

- A diploma from a recognized college or degree from a recognized university with a specialization in environmental studies, or related discipline.
- 5 Years experience working in a rail environment.
- Knowledge of Federal and Ontario heritage policies, procedures and legislation.
- Knowledge of the M&R Project Agreement is desirable.
- Experience with similar projects in Ontario.
- Ability to liaise with other specialty consultants, contractors, Governmental Authorities.
- Experience in the development of heritage resource mitigation measures, including relocation, salvage and conservation plans for architecture and landscape.
