Remote Flexibility: Hybrid flexibility.Client ProfileOur client, a respected and busy law firm in Toronto, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Legal Assistant to support their Commercial Real Estate practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional with strong transactional experience to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and legal support for acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, condominium developments, financings, and land development projects.
  • Prepare and process outgoing wire requisitions related to real estate transactions.
  • Manage all aspects of the billing cycle, including entering and revising dockets, drafting pre-bills, proofreading accounts, preparing account letters, and sending invoices.
  • Prepare cheque requisitions, trust deposits/withdrawals, expense reports, and account balance summaries.
  • Open and close client files, maintain file lists, and ensure proper documentation and organization.
  • Support the lawyer’s practice management, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel, and handling expenses.
  • Draft and file electronic registration documents in Teraview, including instruments and parcel data, based on lawyer instructions.
  • Liaise directly with clients to collect information and follow up on documentation.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Legal Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 year of experience supporting a Commercial Real Estate practice.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • A strong team player with a proactive and positive work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with legal software tools.
