- Be a courageous safety leader, leading by example and fostering a proactive safety and sustainability culture based on the common values of Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities shared by Teck and Newmont (the Partners)
- Lead and deliver day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, and recruitment
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, supporting the execution of HR strategies aligned with business goals
- Build and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures that reflect the needs of a Joint Venture structure while aligning with local legislation
- Represent the company in HR matters with the Partners, maintaining collaboration, visibility, and alignment across shared HR objectives
- Manage communication and coordination of HR decisions, practices, and changes across JV entities to support shared workforce goals
- Coordinate quarterly JV HR Partner Working Group sessions to maintain strong alignment and support for all GCMC HR operations and strategies
- Partner with operational teams and JV representatives on site-based and corporate HR issues, including workforce transitions, onboarding, performance, and culture initiatives
- Analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
- Lead or support projects, including organizational planning, diversity and inclusion, workforce strategy, and change initiatives
- Build respectful working relationships within the Project team, the Partners, external Communities of Interest, including various levels of government and the Tahltan Nation, to add to the stability and functionality of GCMC’s reputation, management and governance practices
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation or working toward it is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in a senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role, or 1-2 years of experience in an HR Manager role, preferably within the natural resources or industrial sectors
- Proven experience or strong aptitude in working within Joint Venture or multi-stakeholder environments
- Proven knowledge of employment legislation, HR best standards, and workforce relations in British Columbia and Canada
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a dedication to continuous improvement
- Strategic attitude with strong operational execution skills
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS/payroll system (e.g., VIP, SAP SuccessFactors) is a strong asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong presentation skills
