
Project Leader, New Product Development

- Accountable for Leading and facilitating the planning, execution and delivery of designated New Product Development (NPD) projects in collaboration with NPD Project/Program Managers.
- Utilizes the models, systems, methodologies and software of NPD Project Management to plan and manage assigned projects.
- Partners with stakeholders throughout the business, including Global Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Operations to ensure all project deliverables are met.
- Provides updates on Projects to NPD leadership team and other stakeholders up to the Senior Management levels, while providing recommendations and implementing solutions as appropriate.
- Responsible for preparing NPD Project Plans, Reports, Summary Documentation, Meeting Minutes, Action Plans and Status updates as required.
- Highlights and escalates critical issues that may affect the execution of Projects to NPD Leadership.
- Anticipates problems and takes appropriate corrective action, consulting with the relevant individuals as required.
- Utilizes good judgment in the management, prioritization and disposition of day to day tasks and activities to ensure adherence to NPD project objectives and timelines.
- Allocates task responsibilities and decision-making responsibilities to appropriate Management, Stakeholders and Colleagues.

- Education
- Degree/Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical or Health Sciences Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Engineering or related science.
- PMP Certification is an asset.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian, US, EU and EU Regulatory guidelines is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, and previous SAP experience.
- Proven ability to effectively problem solves and provide guidance to various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Generic Drug development process.
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Experience
- 4 or more years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry in an R&D or related environment.
- 3 or more years' experience in a Project Management role/environment.
- Prior experience leading/driving projects from initiation to launch.
