SummaryDeloitte is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Workday Functional Finance Senior Consultant to join our Human Capital - Operate team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Workday solution and a strong ability to provide exceptional support and consultancy services to our clients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and client-facing experience to ensure the successful operation and optimization of Workday Systems.What will your typical day look like?In this role, you will lead post-production support and optimization efforts, working directly with clients to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective system designs. You’ll apply your expertise in Procurement to Payment, WSS, Sourcing (RFx), Contracts, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Project billing, Banking and Settlement, and other modules to configure solutions, troubleshoot issues, and recommend best practices. Strong customer focus is essential, as you will assess client needs, build relationships, and manage expectations. You will also support testing, document implemented solutions, and ensure scalable, long-term results.Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensuring the ongoing successful post deployment of Workday solutions.
  • Provide end‑to‑end functional support for Workday Financial Management in a post‑deployment environment, ensuring system stability and business continuity.
  • Serve as a primary functional contact for Finance‑related incidents, service requests, enhancements, and break/fix issues.
  • Leading client discussions – requirements gathering, user stories/test scenario creation, solution configuration, lead/support testing and provide documentation on implemented solution.
  • Excellent understanding of Workday Finance Solution.
  • Support Workday feature adoption, Workday Releases, regression testing, and impact assessments.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements. Identify areas where technology can drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of implemented solutions to identify areas for improvement or optimization. Provide recommendations for updates, upgrades, or modifications as needed.

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday finance implementation/supporting and consulting on Workday solutions, with a focus on system architecture and functional design.
  • Proficiency in Workday, including Financial Accounting, Procurement to Payment, Project billing, Banking and Settlement, expenses and other related modules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Workday finance certification(s) are required.
Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $72,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
