Toronto, ONJK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with an industry-leading manufacturer in the color pigments space in search of a Benefits Manager to join its team! This role will oversee and enhance the employee benefit programs across Canada and the U.S.This innovative company operates within the industrial manufacturing sector, delivering high-performance products to global markets. - Manage end-to-end administration of Canada and U.S. employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and ancillary benefits
- Serve as primary liaison with benefits vendors in both countries, including handling selection, renewal, contracts, and escalation
- Respond to day-to-day employee inquiries with professionalism and clarity, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
- Conduct new-hire benefit orientations in Canada
- Prepare benefit financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) for budgeting and forecasting purposes
- Conduct audits of benefit invoices and ensure accuracy. Resolve discrepancies and manage plan reconciliation
- Lead annual U.S. open enrollment process including partnering to design materials, attending enrollment sessions, coordinating with vendors and maintaining HRIS updates
- Act as a subject matter expert on benefit rules, compliance requirements, and best practices. Advise HR partners and leadership
- Maintain and update benefit data within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy of eligibility, plan coverage, deductions, and vendor feeds
- Contribute to the development and execution of benefits strategy benefit strategy by analyzing usage trends, benchmarking data and employee feedback, and making recommendations for improvements and cost savings
- Develop and deliver employee communications regarding benefit programs, changes, and initiatives-clear, engaging, and tailored to each region
- Ensure benefits programs remain compliant with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations in both Canada and the U.S.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to verify deductions, resolve discrepancies, and support audits
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of benefits administration experience in both Canada and the U.S., ideally within a multinational environment
- Hands-on experience managing benefit vendors, open enrollment, HRIS benefit configuration, and invoice reconciliation
- Expertise in U.S. compliance and Canadian regulations
- Experience with benefit benchmarking, financial modeling, and cost-management strategies
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (BambooHR and ADP preferred)
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills and comfortability working with large datasets and financial reports
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex benefit concepts to employees and leadership in both formal and informal settings
