
Analyst, Payroll Accounting

- Process and validate payroll accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare bank and other general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare variance and trend analyses.
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve differences.
- Take ownership of tasks ensuring all timelines and service levels are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as Payroll Advisory (HR), HR Technology, Finance Systems, Property Managers, and other accounting and FP&A teams across the organization.
- Prepare working papers for external auditors as required.
- Participate in the transition from Dayforce to Workday Payroll, contributing to the design and implementation of new processes, systems, and procedures.
- Update and maintain process documentation.
- Participate in technical training and development opportunities.
- Participate in other accounting duties, special projects and ad-hoc requests, as required.
- Continuously challenge current practices and offer fresh perspectives for optimization.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting entries, ideally with experience in payroll accounting.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Very strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and a proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

- Knowledge of Finance and HR systems, experience with Oracle, JD Edwards, Ceridian Dayforce, and Workday would be an asset.
