
Practice Leader, Technology & Cyber (Commercial Insurance)

- Drive the acquisition of new clients directly or indirectly in collaboration with team members.
- Act as a key senior contact for leaders and assist team members with managing client files (including, ensuring the provision of a high level of caution in support of the team members are appropriate, providing insurance advice to clients, identifying insurance needs, and being the key liaison for communication between the client and insurer including coverage and claims matters, as well as support to them).
- Provide guidance and coaching to direct and indirect reports in support of achieving client growth goals, professional development, personal growth objectives.
- Effectively manage workloads and monitor through regular quality review exercises to ensure the team is adhering to established service and quality standards, both externally with clients and internally with the service team.
- High level focus on engagement to establish a positive and collaborative working environment, while maintaining accountability with all team members.
- Develop and build relationships with new and existing clients as well as internal and external referral sources and centers-of-influence.
- Build and manage the Technology and Cyber Practice.
- Develop monthly statistical analysis and reporting on key metrics for the Technology and Cyber sales team.
- Responsible for Technology and Cyber sales budgets and targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies as aligned with the Company’s business plans including Senior Vice President and Board of Director approvals.
- Set clear goals for team members, monitor and make adjustments to plans in accordance with sales strategies.
- Coordinate the execution by working with the Marketing team to develop materials in support of Sales strategies.
- Lead the development/execution of strategic initiatives and projects to pro-actively source and develop new business opportunities as approved by the Senior Vice President Commercial Mid-Market, in alignment with the Company’s business plan as approved by the Board of Director’s.
- Minimum of 5 years proven Commercial Insurance/Brokerage professional sales management experience is required, with expertise in Technology and Cyber.
- Direct sales experience in the Technology and Cyber segment an asset.
- Business minded with a passion for technical excellence.
- CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards designation) would be an asset.
- Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario License is required or willing to obtain.
- Financial analysis skills would be an asset.
