Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager - Procurement SRM to join our client.Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convert

Location Type: Hybrid; 2 to 3 days onsite per week
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business HoursJob Responsibilities:
  • Leading and providing direct project management (highest level)
  • Overseeing and gathering information and reporting for the various portfolios (senior manager and director level)
  • Consolidation, structuring, Gantt charts (manager level)
  • Fosters a culture aligned to the bank's purpose, values and strategy and role models bank's values and behaviours in all that they do
  • Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion
  • Regularly connects work to bank's purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through

  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
  • Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders
  • Manages/validates financial forecasts and conducts ongoing reconciliation
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues
  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards
  • Socializes change management plans with stakeholders and consistently measures project effectiveness and adoption
  • Directs complex initiatives typically involving multiple business units
  • Exercises direct accountability for projects with up to 50 team members
  • Negotiates complex contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials
  • Takes ownership of the project from cradle to grave and ensures all project artifacts are completed
  • Manages overall project budget
  • Provides guidance to the project sponsor on the implementation and sustainment of projects, resulting in successful project outcomes
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
  • Project management experience - 6 to 8 years (grounded in PM organization, meetings, minutes, sequence activities, problem solving)
  • Banking and Procurement experience are nice to have
  • Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset
