- Reporting to the Quality Development Manager, Quality Development Technician is responsible for proactively pursuing the highest quality standards, on a consistent basis, for all lululemon athletica product. This role will insure the highest quality for finished goods, process, and end-of-line quality testing.
- Working closely with all members of the Global Product Team, the QD Technician will automate, streamline, and enroll all team members in a comprehensive quality outcome without compromising lululemon's design flare and time to market.
- Co-Creation: End to end risk assessment of a product, DFMEA/STRA, this includes risk assessment of raw materials and product with design and product development throughout the life cycle of product development.
- VOP, continuously listening to voice of process to ensure improvements to in-season developments as well as educate on risks & learning from design for manufacturability point of view, (DFM). Completing feedback circle loop.
- Able to foresee/identify risks and provide solutions / mitigate risks from concept stage to final commercialization up until pre-production stage to deliver the right product.
- Collaborate across Product Quality Technicians to share & maximize best practices, establish new methods, bring new execution methods and functional expertise to the quality team.
- Act as owner of the projects to create innovative and premium performance products; owner of minimum performance standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Ensuring product testing and managing relevant trackers & reports for periodic reviews with quality development manager & global quality.
- Able to anticipate potential issues in bulk, problem solves for issues related to Raw materials, Trims, construction & workmanship of a product.
- Provide quality risk assessments during all go to market gates.
- Able to work with off-shore vendors through emails, conference calls, teleconference meetings and onsite to execute the design intent.
- Diploma in a garment industry related program or Industrial Engineering (textile specific)
- Experience in implementing quality standards for all phases of the development lifecycle which include but are not limited to: technical reviews, testing plans & seasonal handoffs to LLOs etc.
- Experience with quality management or process improvement standard, i.e. DFMEA, AQL, ISO ASTM/AATCC etc.
- Minimum 5-7 years working experience in technical design, product development and garment production field and/or apparel industry quality control role.
- Knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction and related machinery is a must.

The typical hiring range for this position is from $71,400 - 93,800 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
