- Partnership Strategy: Design and implement outreach programs and initiatives to attract and engage corporate partners and professional networks.
- Strategic Relationship Development: Build and manage a referral network of, for example, real estate brokers, mortgage professionals, financial advisors, accountants, lawyers, and business owners to drive retail capital flow and brand exposure.
- Business Growth: Identify and close business development opportunities that align with the firms’ strategic priorities and fundraising goals.
- Market Expansion: Develop region-specific strategies to grow awareness and investor interest in key Canadian markets.
- Events & Representation: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise visibility and cultivate prospects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing, Digital Marketing, Investor Relations, and Executive teams to support the development of co-branded campaigns, content, and partner initiatives.
- Reporting & Insights: Track pipeline growth, report on KPIs, and provide market feedback to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field. MBA or CFA considered an asset.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related client-facing role, preferably within real estate, financial services, or professional services.
- Strong network of contacts in one or more of the target audiences: real estate professionals, wealth advisors, accounting/legal professionals, or business owners.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport.
- Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and securing strategic partnerships or business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and execute with a high degree of autonomy.
- Familiarity with exempt market products, real estate syndications, or alternative investment vehicles an asset.
