Senior Development Officer, Corporate Development - Resource Development, Pathways to Education CanadaWe're looking for someone who can change the paradigm for youth living in poverty in Canada. Through the collective power of partnerships, Pathways to Education's innovative program is preparing youth for tomorrow.The OpportunityReporting to the Director, Corporate Partnerships, the Senior Development Officer, Corporate Partnerships will play a key role in driving revenue growth through both new partnership development and the management of an existing portfolio of approximately 75 corporate donors giving $10K - $100K annually. This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, while also deepening relationships with current partners to maximize long-term value and impact. The ideal candidate brings a strategic, donor-centered approach to corporate fundraising, with a strong ability to align partner interests with organizational priorities.What You'll DoPortfolio Management (60%)
  • Manage a portfolio of corporations at the level of $10,000 to $100,000 annually, ensuring the appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for each assigned constituent
  • Solicit, negotiate, and secure corporate gifts with a focus on securing new partnerships, unrestricted gifts and multi-year pledges whenever possible
Prospecting, Pipeline Development, and Moves Management (20%)
  • Leveraging market trends, prospect research, mission alignment, and cross-functional collaboration, build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate prospects to support long-term revenue growth
  • Collaborate in the creation of fundraising plans and strategies to diversify and enhance corporate fundraising activities
Administration & Documentation (15%)
  • Deliver compelling, customized proposals that align the objectives of corporate prospects with Pathways' strategic funding priorities and opportunities
  • Work with Donor Services teams to draft and execute partnership agreements
  • Collaborate with Senior Development Officer, Corporate Activation and Stewardship to coordinate and execute partnership plans as specified within the gift agreement for corporate partners
Advance Corporate Fundraising Impact (5%)
  • Support the development and implementation of a national corporate partnership fundraising strategy with focus on prospect, partner, and revenue growth
  • Mentor junior fundraising staff and support cross-functional fundraising initiatives
  • Contribute to a strong, collaborative, cross-departmental, high-performing team environment.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years' experience in corporate fundraising or a related area (corporate social responsibility, cause marketing/sponsorships, account management and/or sales)
  • Demonstrated success in securing multi-year financial gifts from new partners, and in stewarding existing donors to renew gifts and move to higher levels of giving
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Office 365 applications
  • Experience using Raiser's Edge NXT software an asset
  • Outstanding written communication skills and demonstrated success at persuasive writing
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to think strategically, work independently, and manage competing priorities in a hybrid, high-volume, and results-oriented environment
  • Ability to passionately articulate key messages and demonstrate an understanding of Pathways' work
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills and exacting attention to detail
  • Acts as a positive influence in the organization, fostering a commitment to teamwork and building a climate of professionalism, openness and communication
  • French language an asset.
