As an electrician with Suncor, you can expect to learn new things, improve current processes and work with some of the most talented people in our industry!Minimum Requirements:Five years of trade experience as a fully qualified Journeyperson in a large industrial facilityHigh voltage experience maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting and switching high voltage systems (equipment up to 15KV)A valid Alberta Journeyperson certified or Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician certificate; attach your Journeyman / Red Seal ticket with your application in order to be considered
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving recordKey Accountabilities:Execute planned maintenance and response workInstall, service, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide spectrum of plant electrical equipment and machinery in high- and low-voltage applicationsMaintain, test and ensure the functionality of electrical equipment protection systems, safety systems, emergency shutdown (ESD) equipment, and backup systemsExecute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systemsParticipate in failure analysis discussionsPlan jobs, which includes material assessment and selectionDevelop and execute switching proceduresAssist other maintenance and production technicians to ensure equipment and plant reliability
