Position Summary:Tacten is currently recruiting for a IRATA Rope Access Journeyperson Electrician to support our client site, Suncor Firebag, in Fort McMurray, AB.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing division within Tacten. Do you have experience working as a Electrician and are certified in rope access? If so, apply today!
  • Fall Outage - Temporary Full-Time
  • Duration: September 10 - September 30
  • 20 days straight at 12hrs./day
  • IRATA certificate required
  • Fly-in/fly-out from local city hubs (Calgary or Edmonton only!)
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintaining electrical systems where required
  • Installing and connecting electrical components such as motors, transformers, control panels, and other equipment necessary for industrial operations
  • Identify issues, replace faulty components, and to ensure that all machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:Position Requirements
  • Journeyman Electrician Certification Required
  • IRATA Level 1 required. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.
  • Industrial and EHT experience required
  • Local to Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Calgary or surrounding areas.
Safety Certifications
  • CSTS-09 or OSSA BSO or ESC CSO
