As an Area Manager II at an Amazon fulfillment center, you'll act as a strategic leader overseeing upto 80 associates while driving department level operational improvements. You'll conduct planning sessions with your team, coaching them through operational challenges while developing their leadership capabilities. On a typical day, you'll partner cross-functionally with teams such as Quality, HR, and Safety to implement scalable process improvements that could impact 200+ associates across multiple workflows. You'll diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics, facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department-level goals, and make data-driven decisions that balance competing priorities. You would leverage your strategic thinking to review department-wide metrics, and plan initiatives that directly impact millions of customer orders while maintaining high levels of engagement, safety, quality, and productivity standards.Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysPreferred Qualifications- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Experience in the management of large teams (50+ members)
- Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: shipping/logistics distribution centers, manufacturing environments, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and customer-facing / customer-service environments

As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
