Position: Finishing Site SuperintendentWe are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Site Superintendent to oversee the completion phase of a multi-story residential project valued at approximately $100M. This role is critical in ensuring the high-quality delivery of interior finishes in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.Job Location:North York Thornhill/North York, Ontario.About the Role:The Finishing Site Superintendent will be responsible for managing all finishing construction activities on site, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct finishing construction activities, from drywall installation to final touches, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project management to establish schedules for finishing work and ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise and evaluate subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the project team to resolve any construction issues and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain detailed records of construction progress, changes, and inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, clients, and team members.
  • Ensure that all finishing work complies with local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Finishing Site Superintendent or in a similar role, with a focus on high-rise residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and standards, particularly related to interior finishes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
