The Security Engineering team at eBay protects our platforms, customers, and data by building and operating scalable, modern security capabilities. We partner closely with product, engineering, and operations teams across the company to reduce risk while enabling innovation and great customer experiences.
As a Technical Product Manager focused on AI-driven vulnerability management, you will lead the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle discovery, triage, prioritization, and remediation using AI-powered tools and automation to improve accuracy and reduce mean time to remediation (MTTR). In this senior-level role, you will define and drive the product roadmap for our vulnerability management program, work across organizations to align on priorities, and communicate clear, business-aligned risk insights to leadership.What you will accomplish:
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for AI/ML-driven vulnerability management, improving detection quality, reducing false positives, and shortening MTTR across eBay’s platforms.
  • Coordinate the full vulnerability lifecycle from intake and triage through prioritization and remediation ensuring critical issues are addressed quickly and systematically.
  • Partner with security architects, platform engineers, developers, and operations teams to embed secure design and vulnerability considerations into next-generation platforms and services.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, technical engineers, developers, and product managers to keep vulnerability initiatives on track, aligned to business priorities, and measurable in their impact.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with clear, actionable, business-aligned risk metrics and trends.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, piloting new AI tools and approaches, and sharing best practices that advance eBay’s overall security posture.
What you will bring:
  • Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or technical program/project management, with a proven track record leading complex cross-organizational security initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or general AI tools to vulnerability management problems such as detection, triage, prioritization, and remediation workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with common security and workflow tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Wiz, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical risk into clear narratives and documentation for both technical and executive audiences, including dashboards and written reports.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in security operations or closely related domains, with strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, working across time zones and teams, with flexibility to support critical security events as needed.
Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: C$142,400 - C$190,100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
