Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for Investment Accounting and a knack for leading high-impact initiatives? We are seeking a Manager Investment Accounting to join a dynamic finance team on a 12-month contract with a possibility to get extended. Joining this company, you will play a key role in supporting oversight of the financial reporting processes for a sophisticated investment platform. You will support month-end and year-end close activities, legal entity reporting, and partner closely with teams across the organization to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial results.Location: Toronto, ON - downtown, 4 days/onsiteContract: 12 months with possibility of extension.What You’ll Do
  • Support and manage month-end and year-end close activities for the investment product portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate accounting templates and journal entries to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Perform daily trial balance attestations, analyze variances, and investigate issues in collaboration with business partners.
  • Support legal entity financial reporting, including statutory financial statements, audit deliverables, and tax reporting packages.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve end-to-end reporting transparency.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements aimed at increasing efficiency and strengthening controls.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, regulatory reporting, and strategic initiatives impacting the business.
  • Accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CGA, CA).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and investment accounting withing banking or financial services industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, with strong technical accounting expertise under IFRS.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and effectively present complex information.
  • Proficiency in enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, and enhancing financial controls.
