Bilingual Manager - Tax Knowledge and Publishing

- Assist in the updating, writing and review of written commentary on Canada's federal and provincial income tax laws for various publications
- Write and review articles on legislative, case law and CRA administrative tax developments for various EY publications, including TaxMatters@EY and EY's daily tax news
- Assist with the writing of EY tax alerts on significant emerging tax issues
- Monitor and track legislative developments in Canada's federal and provincial income tax laws
- Review and manage the updating of various personal and corporate income tax rate tools (including EY's personal tax calculator and tax rate cards, published on ey.com)
- Develop and maintain a variety of other tax reference tools and tax technical content, including editorial content and features included in various EY publications (e.g., EY's Federal Income Tax Act)
- Co-develop new technology features, including AI-compatible features, alongside EYEP's web developer team (for www.knotia.ca and Canadian Tax Library), providing user feedback and testing support
- Technical experience in providing Canadian income tax advisory services
- Experience in reading tax legislation and writing and reviewing memos and/or technical articles and papers, and with the calculation of various tax rates for individuals and corporations
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and practically
- Understanding of the Canadian tax legislative process and tax research process
- Interested in enhancing tax technical skills by remaining up to date on new legislative, case law and administrative developments
- Ability to plan, manage and participate in various projects and provide timely and high-quality deliverables tailored to our different audiences
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to thoroughly analyze information and work to an exceptionally high level of accuracy
- Use of, and interest in, technology (including AI) to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance deliverables and processes
- Being a proactive team player, committed to participating in, and contributing to, achieving team goals
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of Canadian income taxation
- Completion of a CPA designation or JD or equivalent
- A comfortable knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment and embracing AI
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- The ability to deliver quality work products within tight deadlines
- Process-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to speak, read, and write in French
- A team-oriented, proactive and committed approach to work, along with a high level of drive and motivation
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
- Completion of the In-Depth Tax Course, an MTax or LLM would be an asset, but not essential
