SummaryIn a fast-paced environment, the Shipper on a 6-Month Contract is responsible for shipping the orders and transfers that are related to its Distribution Center. The Shipper will ensure to meet the expectations of our customers using the TMS provided by our Traffic Department, and by working in collaboration with other departments. Maintain the sequence of picking according to the priority rating and zoning of the ordersHandle and prioritize rush shipments and customer pick-upsUsing the rating/transport systems in place (TMS), choose the best possible carriers for each orderDispatch the orders and transfers according to the service and quality standards of IPEXTrace shipments by phone or internetHandle calls regarding orders and customer inquiries. Manage desk for drivers and customer pick-upsProcess Bill of Ladings (BOLs) correctly and efficiently. Ensure that the information on said BOLs is accurate and completeMaintain an orderly file system for documents and records (Bill of Lading, Sales Orders, RMAs, etc) as per C-TPATOther duties as may be assignedKnowledge and Skill RequirementsCompletion of a college degree and/or experience in similar type of environmentMust have good writing skills and be fluent in EnglishKnowledge of Microsoft Office ie: Word, Excel and OutlookMust complete certification/training for Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), WHMIS and C-TPATForklift Driver Training Certificate is an assetExcellent communication and customer service skillsMust be able to handle stress and adapt to workload changes and requests, ability to work independently and in a team environmentMust be able to pass a Criminal Background CheckWorking ConditionsWhen working in the office, physical effort is minimal, as it requires occasional carrying and/or lifting of small objects and walking through the warehouse and office areas. Stress is high and is created by the need to prioritize and deadlines.
