BUSINESS ANALYST – PORTFOLIO OPERATIONS – UNDERWRITING – BERMUDA – ONLY 10% TAX – HR702About this opportunityOur client is seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded individual to join their Portfolio Management team. This role will support the design, coordination, and execution of key priorities that shape the strategic direction of their Portfolio Management functions. Reporting directly to the SVP of Operations, you will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, solve complex challenges, and enhance strategic execution across the business.The ideal candidate brings experience in strategy consulting, capital planning, enterprise planning, or related analytical disciplines, and is comfortable creating executive-ready content, engaging diverse stakeholders, and navigating complex strategic initiatives.This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to senior decision-makers, contribute to enterprise-level initiatives, and grow within a high-performing, globally connected team.Key responsibilities:Support Strategic Portfolio & Capital Planning
  • Support the SVP with the planning and execution of leadership forums and strategic meetings across the annual cycle, including strategic off-sites, quarterly planning meetings, and capital planning forums
  • Develop clear, compelling, and concise presentation materials and briefing documents for senior leadership and strategic forums
  • Support scenario analysis and analytical reviews of future portfolio and capital implications
  • Act as a liaison between Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Finance, and other business units to ensure strategic alignment
Problem Solving & Support Strategic Initiatives within Portfolio Management
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues and develop meaningful insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify root causes, develop hypotheses, and deliver data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making
  • Support the coordination, tracking, and execution of strategic initiatives across the Portfolio Management team
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, timelines, risk logs, and stakeholder updates
What you'll need
  • University degree from an accredited institution
  • 5–7 years of experience in a strategic, analytical, or planning role, ideally within (re)insurance or a strategy consulting environment
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience supporting the planning cycle for a large organization, involving cross-functional engagement and prioritization
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and driving alignment across diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with financial and capital planning, portfolio management, or strategy consulting is advantageous
