- Own the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities using both BGIS and client Work Order Management System (e.g., CMMS, APM).
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of work orders.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance programs & shutdowns on various equipment according to annual maintenance plan.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Acts as principal contact/liaison between facility maintenance crews and the client for the planning and scheduling of work.
- Provides weekly, monthly and annual progress reports and provides updates to the O&M team and to the customer for work in progress and work completed.
- Tracks maintenance effectiveness, equipment history, and repair costs against each specific work order or equipment.
- Assesses the job to be done and determines the best way to accomplish the work; ensures safety needs are given top priority while planning work.
- Identifies opportunities to improve process, planning or performance through analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations and efficient use of personnel skillsets assigned to work.
- Lead daily planning meetings with site teams to review schedules, priorities, and resource needs.
- Lead and Support onboarding and mentoring of service delivery coordinators as needed.
- Regularly reviews preventative tasks and cost data; recommends corrective actions to reduce costs.
- Schedules and manages subcontractors when outside labor is required to execute jobs.
- Promotes a safe environment by adhering to regulatory and safety policies enforced by government and the company.
- Develops relationships with the BGIS team and GSK team to assure the ready flow and exchange of information for planning, scheduling and process improvement activities.
- Other duties as required.
- College diploma, engineering degree or trades certificate in related field is desired.
- Minimum three to five year's maintenance experience in schedule/planning activities.
- Familiar with building design, mechanical and electrical systems operations and maintenance.
- Familiar with industry best practice in an industrial environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment with positive attitude.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of regulatory and code requirements for related fields.
- Experience indicates proven organizational skills with strong utilization of PC based systems.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Programs.
- Past experience working with a CMMS system or demonstrated knowledge of a CMMS system (preferably with SAP).
- Ability to communicate and present information to tradesmen, management and the client.
- Ability to run reports, track, measure and record progress and provide analytical synopsis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to develop preventative maintenance and repair work plans.
- Trade license in one of the key trade disciplines (preferably electrical) an asset.
- Certified CMMS diploma an asset.
