- Lead, mentor and support a team of product managers in the planning, execution, and GTM lifecycles
- Understand the state of Vena's business, its products and opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers of your products - profitability, pricing, services mix, sales channels, etc.
- Build strong connections with customers to develop a deep empathy for the challenges faced by FP&A teams
- Recruit, interview, hire, and develop talented team members. Ensure the product organization has a 'bench' of flexible and talented individuals
- Be a visible leader throughout the organization, advocate for our customers and the products that are truly meaningful to them
- Inspire your team and help them sharpen their Product Management skills
- Work side-by-side with business unit personnel to ensure seamless process integration for marketing, sales and support operations and to ensure the business is informed of the direction and status of the roadmap
- Establish, refine and communicate through the business and to customers a shared understanding of the portfolio vision and roadmap planning for your products; ensure the prioritized backlog aligns to the roadmap plan
- Continuously monitor where your products are in their lifecycle and work holistically across the business to manage lifecycle events (end of life, new product launch, etc.)
- Provide updates to partners and executives on the outcomes and impact of products and projects
- Travel as required (e.g. company KO, Excelerate Summit, Vena India visits, customer and investor events, and at least one week-long visit to our HQ every year)
- Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of product management. Familiarity with mid-market customers and products in a B2B business will be helpful
- Minimum of 2 years of team management and mentoring experience
- Experience in Pragmatic Marketing and Scrum or other Agile development practices, methodologies and tools is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and proven ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization
- Not afraid of the details - need to be highly focused mitigating product development risk by ensuring that no rocks go unturned
- Very strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence.
