The Senior Wealth Advisor will manage and grow a dedicated client portfolio while creating comprehensive financial plans and providing exceptional client service. The incumbent will have a strong client relationship focus and will employ a holistic goals-based approach to help high net worth families develop a complete vision for their future.How You’ll Make an Impact- Develop and maintain strong client relationshipsPartner with clients and prospects to understand their objectives and what is important to them in setting financial goalsAct as a concierge to clients to assist with their financial needs and ensure client satisfaction with a focus on retention of clientsProvide regular updates to clients on investment strategies, capital markets and various other aspects of the client’s financial needsBe resourceful when determining solutions that will add value to the client’s long-term goals- Able to develop investment and financial planning strategies for our clients on how to invest their portfolios and plan for long-term financial goals.Complete a deep discovery to understand clients financial and nonfinancial situation and what factors are important to themLeverage our financial planning software to put together a plan to address identified client needs and goalsContinuously review and update client plans as material changes occur throughout various life stage- Develop and maintain long-term client relationshipsEnsure clients receive the appropriate levels of service, including meetings, planning, reporting, and responses to requests/questionsProactively contact existing clients to educate them about investment strategies, products and services to help them grow their portfoliosIdentify, execute and follow up on opportunities to gather additional client assets while providing client centered discussions.Increase number of clients doing business with FidelityMay include travel across Canada- Work closely with the Sales Development VP in the onboarding process of new books of business and the accompanying clients.In collaboration with Sales Development VP, successfully on-board new clients while minimizing attrition of clientsStrong understanding of internal operational modelMeet with the advisor and understand the existing client relationships as part of the transition process; collaborate to best manage the transition- Provide guidance and direction to Wealth Advisor(s)Mentor (Junior) Wealth Advisors to build a development pipelineStrategize ways to increase prospects, client penetration and overall book of businessIncrease the number of clients doing business with Fidelity advisorsWhat You’ll NeedExceptional communication skills; verbal and written; ability to articulate financial planning concepts clearly and succinctlyIn-depth understanding of product structures, capital markets and investmentsAbility to position appropriate products and investments in the context of current needs as well as clients’ long-term financial plans.Excellent relationship management skills and client-centric focusOutstanding attention to detail and constant commitment to excellenceWhat We’re Looking ForCompletion of a University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience7+ years of experience in investment management experience and advising retail and high-net worth clientsStrong Investment management experience and Financial planning experienceBilingual in English/French is an assetObtained CFA or CIM and LLQP designationsAdditional designations such as CFP, MBA are an assetMust be licensed as an Registered Representative (RR) and have the ability to sell both mutual funds and securitiesMust meet IIROC proficiency requirementsRegistered as Portfolio Manager (PM) or ability to be licensed as one is an assetSome of the ways we’ll help you feel valued and supported as part of our team:Competitive total compensation, including company contributions to your group RRSP without a matching requirement from youComprehensive health benefits that start on your first day, with 100% employer-paid premiums, that include up to $5000 annually for mental health services and therapyParental leave top-up to 100% of your salary for a period of 25 weeksUp to $650 for home office equipmentGenerous time off policy, including 2 paid days annually to volunteer at a charity of your choiceDiversity and inclusion programs, including an active network of Employee Resource GroupsExtensive professional development opportunities, including access to over 11,000 training and development courses, tuition reimbursement, and monetary rewards for completing a required designationFidelity Canada is an equal opportunity employerFidelity Canada is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
