The Human Relations Advisor – Corporate & Logistics plays a key role in partnering with both corporate functional teams and field-based logistics operations. This hybrid role supports a variety of departments including Finance, Marketing, IT, and Sales, while also providing human relations support to unionized logistics teams across Ontario. The Advisor will deliver HR solutions that support associate engagement, leadership effectiveness, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and compliance—all while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Strategic HR Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate and logistics leaders on HR matters, balancing business goals with people priorities.
- Guide leaders in workforce planning, employee development, policy application, and organizational change initiatives.
- Provide HR support to unionized logistics teams, including interpretation of collective agreements and resolution of labour matters.
- Support performance management and talent development conversations across all client groups.
- Partner with leadership in addressing employee concerns and providing guidance on complex HR issues.
- Foster constructive union relationships through collaboration, communication, and integrity.
- Support grievance processes, union communications, and progressive discipline documentation when needed.
- Investigate incidents and recommend appropriate follow-up actions, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Lead recruitment for salaried corporate roles and support hourly logistics recruitment processes.
- Partner with third-party recruiters, hiring managers, and the Talent Acquisition team to source and secure top talent.
- Support a best-in-class onboarding experience for both corporate and logistics hires.
- Coordinate and support associate engagement activities and events across the corporate and logistics teams.
- Help lead inclusion and culture-building efforts aligned with Bimbo Canada’s values.
- Assist in developing and delivering HR-related training to support leader and associate development.
- Ensure accurate and timely HRIS transactions (e.g., hires, terminations, transfers) in Oracle and other systems.
- Coordinate with payroll and the corporate Benefits team to support associate inquiries and benefits processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies.
- Assist with the development and revision of HR policies, SOPs, and documentation.
- Contribute to national and North American HR initiatives and special projects as needed.
- Support change management efforts related to organizational growth and transformation.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to unionized environments.
- Experience supporting both corporate professional functions and front-line operations (e.g., logistics or manufacturing).
- CHRP/CHRL designation (or in progress) is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Oracle experience is an asset).
- Must have a valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and the ability to travel across the province as needed/required.
