- Directs and administers housekeeping programs to maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion in adherence to all facility policies and best practices
- Evaluates new processes and cleaning products/equipment; recommendations for purchase
- Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training and submitting payroll for 20 staff members
- Ensures proper use of the cleaning products and equipment
- Ensures staffing patterns are in accordance with functional needs of the department
- Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, evaluates effectiveness; recommends changes
- Develops and holds department accountable to the Quality Assurance program
- Ensures a safe environment to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
- Dedicated to reducing slips, trips, fire, exposure to dust, chemicals, and other hazards
- Ensures that confidentiality and privacy requirements are maintained
- Requires proof of two (2) Covid vaccines, flu shot and MMR vaccine – or willing to obtain
- Housekeeping supervisory experience from hotels, senior living or long term care is preferred
- Sufficient knowledge of Housekeeping and Waste Management Laws and Regulations
- Must possess significant attention to detail in order to inspect and uphold cleaning standards
- Must possess the ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in the area
- Excellent communication skills to converse with employees, colleagues and stakeholders
- Responsible for employee selection, orientation, management and performance appraisals
- Computer literate utilizing Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
