- Job Description
- Project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed design for municipal water and dams projects
- Managing, planning, organizing work with technical groups in the delivery of project deliverable requirements including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans
- Tracking, controlling, and reporting on project performance
- Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets.
- Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liase with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia or able to apply for this designation.
- 15+ years of broad and extensive technical, administrative and project experience within consulting companies, specifically in municipal water systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.) and dams.
- Strong water & dam technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases (including conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration).
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, business development and client liaison experience.
- Excellent, innovative, and practical customer service and a commitment to technical excellence.
- Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
