- Acting as the Continuous Improvement Coach for the Central Kitchen.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement SOPs.
- Supporting training and coaching of team members on process adherence.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain SOPs to optimize production and ensure product quality.
- Support cost management of finished goods and process compliance.
- Support in identifying root causes of inventory deviation via cause-and-effect analysis.
- Ensure KPI targets are met and SOPs are followed consistently.
- Facilitate open communication on CI initiatives and ensure alignment across teams.
- Develop tools to support the management of production plans and schedules for daily operations and take a leading role in improvement projects.
- Track progress of optimization initiatives and update plans accordingly.
- Conduct observations and collect data (e.g., labour and yield studies) to identify and implement process improvements.
- Lead and participate in CI projects focused on cost reduction and waste elimination.
- Maintain clear communication across departments and resolve operational issues proactively.
- Recommend and implement strategies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Manage and maintain the storyboard system and ensure storyboards are accurate and accurately followed.
- Measure and manage process deviations and ensure recipe integrity.
- Support coaching programs to drive operational excellence and reduce rework.
- Conduct CI audits and process reviews to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on process adherence, production metrics, and CI initiatives.
- Provide regular updates during department meetings and maintain CI plans and schedules.
- Document operations benchmarking and project status updates.
- Promotes and endorses Safety Vision “Safety is our way of life”
- Observes and supports Longo's Safe Work guidelines and other safe work practices
- Role models the importance of health and safety by always working safely, calling out and addressing safety issues
- Recognizes risks which may pose a danger to Team Members and customers and resolves such issues (where possible) or modifies work, minimizing the risk to Team Member/customer until resolution can be sourced and implemented
- Ensures all pre-use checks (where applicable) are conducted and all equipment is maintained to provide for safe operation by Team Members
- Ensures that TMs are trained to work safely and ensures that all work is safely carried out by Team Members
- Responsible for Team Members regularly logging onto Axonify and ensures all onboarding and training is completed prior to first shift
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (or related field), or minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills; data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ability to coach, train, and influence across all levels.
- Strong initiative, ownership, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Work is performed in both a kitchen production environment and office space, with regular participation in meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
