- If eligible for subsistence, it will be paid providing two approved proof of residence documents are received during the onboarding process. Two of the following are mandatory: income tax assessment, property tax assessment, employment insurance form, utilities receipt, or as outlined in the Collective Agreement. Please note, cell phone bills are not an acceptable proof. Proof must have a physical location, not just a post office box address
- Subject to change; all Pipefitter and Boilermaker Welders will require a weld test prior to arriving on site. The mandatory requirements for the weld tests are that the member must bring all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete the weld test. - 3-5 years dealer or fleet maintenance shop. Ford and GM truck experience is necessary
- Techs will be expected to diagnose and repair electrical and drivability
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, 4x4 systems, and brakes
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed during repairs
- Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups
- Complete repairs as per estimates completed in a timely fashion
- Maintain high quality of workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintaining and repairing a fleet of 350+ trucks
- Work well with others and willing to help apprentices
- Follow and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and HR procedures
- Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955

- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Valid class 5 Driver's License
- Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
- Other certification may be required based on site requirements
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fit for Work Test
- Vision Test
