- Champion the Children's Snow School experience at Whistler Blackcomb, setting the on-mountain standard for lesson quality, coaching, and care for children and families, while evolving programs to align with resort and company goals and drive sustainable financial success
- Steward the business with the precision and creativity required at a world-class destination, owning budgets, strengthening internal controls, and achieving contribution goals through disciplined planning and guest-driven product development.
- Inspire and develop an exceptional leadership team by hiring, coaching, and growing Supervisors, Assistant Managers, and Managers, guiding both daily execution and long-range strategy in partnership with the Senior Director of Skier Services and the rest of the Snow School Senior Leadership Team.
- Create seamless alignment across Whistler and Blackcomb by partnering with Senior Managers, the Training Manager, Business Manager, and the Administrative Team and reinforcing a true “One School” culture.
- Deliver an operations plan built for a high-volume, dynamic mountain environment, meeting budgeted margins by optimizing labor, controlling expenses, unlocking revenue opportunities, and elevating the guest experience through peak periods.
- Lead change with confidence and clarity, bringing new company initiatives to life in the Snow School and across the resort, and serving as a visible Whistler Blackcomb leader who drives collaboration, alignment to brand standards, and an exceptional end-to-end guest journey.
- Model a safety-first approach in everything we do on and off the snow by staying current on guest and employee health and safety regulations, including universal precautions, child abuse guidelines, background checks, emergency response plans, and lightning procedures.
- Keep Whistler Blackcomb at the forefront of the industry by tracking trends, guest expectations, competitor benchmarks, and key events, while staying engaged with professional organizations (e.g., ISIA, CSIA, PSIC, CASI, CADS, etc.)
- Keep our spaces and terrain guest-ready by monitoring and maintaining the quality and appearance of facilities including on-mountain and base area buildings, sales locations, organizational yards, signage and program imaging, teaching terrain, and locker rooms; perform other duties as assigned.
- Bring the Whistler Blackcomb perspective to enterprise-wide initiatives and selected projects, helping shape solutions that improve the guest and employee experience across the company.
- Represent Whistler Blackcomb and Vail Resorts in the Sea-to-Sky community, strengthening local relationships and partnerships and supporting resort priorities as needed.
- 7+ years in a Snow School leadership role, with strong budget ownership, proven people-development leadership, and confident external relationship management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with teams, guests, and partners
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and a compelling narrative that drives alignment and action
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills, with the judgment and empathy to navigate challenging situations constructively
- A guest-first and safety-first leader who inspires teams, leads with integrity, and builds strong cross-resort partnerships
- Previous experience as a Snow School Senior Manager, leading teams and delivering exceptional guest outcomes
- 3+ years as a Snow School Manager, with a track record of operational excellence and team development
- Level 3 or 4 certification from CSIA, PSIC, CASI, CADS, or equivalent
- College degree in a related field
- Experience with ProConnect, RPOS, Legion and GuestConnect
