- Job Description
- Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting to ensure alignment with the company's strategic and operational objectives.
- Analyze financial results, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and maintain performance tracking tools to optimize results, anticipate risks, and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Conduct profitability analyses to support decision-making related to new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall strategy.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by providing financial analysis and well-informed recommendations.
- Identify growth drivers, process improvement opportunities, and resource optimization initiatives.
- Implement and optimize Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to enhance the quality and timeliness of decision-making analyses.
- Ensure the reliability and integrity of financial data used in decision-making.
- Train and support teams in the use of analytical tools and dashboards.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure financial objectives are aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support the successful delivery of cross-functional projects by providing financial and analytical expertise.
- Profile
- University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in managing complex financial partnerships.
- 10 years of team management experience.
- CPA or CFA designation.
- Experience in the engineering or professional services sector (an asset).
- Strategic mindset with sound decision-making abilities.
- Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent financial and budget management skills.
- Expertise in developing robust profitability analyses and evaluating impact.
- Strategic planning experience and collaboration with executive leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to leadership.
- Bilingual in English and French.
