- Coordinating and executing research project work plans and timelines.
- Developing and carrying out independent research
- Writing research grant proposals to secure funding for additional projects under supervision.
- Assisting with the ongoing growth and development of the projects.
- Preparing and submitting conference abstracts and manuscripts under supervision.
- PhD in a health, social science or related discipline
- Evidence of strong writing and communication skills
- A strong peer-reviewed publications record
- Strong knowledge and experience in advanced statistical methods
- Working knowledge of health services research
- Must have an understanding and appreciation of health and social care settings and older adults
- Possesses or is willing to develop depth in areas relating to vulnerable populations, e.g., a migrant workforce, intersectionality, dementia, care processes
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute to team development
- Experience with large longitudinal datasets in an asset
- Knowledge or experience with long-term care sector is an asset
