MAC System's Support Specialist - Contract - 18793About the OpportunityThe Technology department is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, supporting and improving the information technology infrastructure and data governance. The MAC System's Support Specialist is the central point of contact to diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across a range of software applications, and various other technology initiatives.In an effort to protect valuable resources, the MAC System's Support Specialist must promote and adhere to the department's security and data governance initiatives.Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting 30 users in an office environment (MUST HAVE corporate MAC experience)
  • Respond to users' concerns, and conduct follow-up interviews with users to ensure issues have been addressed
  • Support remote work, on-premises troubleshooting and meeting room support
  • Protect value by keeping information confidential
  • Conform to policies and assist staff to comply with policies
  • Provide weekly task lists, and escalate issues regarding timing or resources to IT Systems Manager
  • Take ownership of issues, analyze, and implement fixes; escalate to IT Systems Manager or Director, Information Technology when necessary
  • Manage and track all IT assets in inventory
  • Configure and support Apple operating systems and mobile devices
  • Onboard new staff
  • Provide training and reference materials to end-users for hardware, software and meeting rooms
  • Be on-premises for Board meetings and other critical meetings identified in advance
  • Recommend and implement new applications or changes to existing applications
  • Facilitate, and promote activities to develop data governance initiatives
  • Review and be aware of new standards and regulatory changes, and understand the impacts as they pertain to data governance
  • Provide backup for the Senior Systems Administrator position
  • Participate in IT Disaster Recovery testing
  • Assist with the development and documentation of policies, procedures and controls relating to the administration of network, business processes and special projects
  • Provide backup to support other department roles as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Website
  • Support social media platform initiatives
  • Maintain and update website content
  • Document changes in Website Change Log
  • Communicate any Content Management System problems to IT Systems Manager or Director, Information Technology
Microsoft Office 365
  • Perform Microsoft Office 365 administrator services including:
  • Investigate new features
  • Configure access privileges
  • Enroll new staff
  • SharePoint and Teams administration
  • Implement and manage information protection and compliance within the Microsoft
  • Office 365 environment including but not limited:
  • Data classification
  • Creating and managing sensitivity labels
  • Data loss prevention policies
  • Reporting
  • Data retention
About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer related field
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 security and data loss protection
  • Knowledge of configuring and supporting Apple mobile devices
  • Knowledge of MacIntosh hardware
  • Knowledge of configuring Apple OS and iOS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Cloud and Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting antivirus software
  • Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting backup software
  • Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting network connectivity
  • Knowledge of file integrity monitoring software
  • Faculty to provide exceptional customer service, multi-task, be self-motivated and a capacity to work with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
