Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.About the EngagementAkkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Back End - Software Developer to support the design, development, modernization, and ongoing support of complex, large-scale, cloud-native and enterprise applications within a regulated Public Sector environment. The successful consultant will work collaboratively with business, UX/UI, and architecture teams to deliver secure, accessible (AODA-compliant), high-performance software solutions supporting mission-critical public services.ScopeCollaborate with Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Cloud Architects, and Technical Leads to translate business requirements, user stories, and solution architecture into robust technical designs.Design and develop cloud-native, microservices-based, and enterprise web applications, including Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).Modernize legacy systems using .NET Core, C#, Java EE, and Cloud PaaS technologies.Assignment DeliverablesApplication design and technical specification documentsUML design artefacts (Use Case, Class, Sequence, State diagrams)Secure, scalable, and maintainable software componentsUnit tests, automated test artefacts, and QA support documentation.Expertise RequiredMust Have:10+ years' experience in .NET development using C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, RESTful APIsStrong experience with Cloud-Native architectures, PaaS platforms, and microservicesExtensive hands-on development experience with Java EE / Spring Framework / Spring BootStrong database expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and SQL / Stored ProceduresExperience securing applications following OWASP best practicesNice to Have:Experience with Angular, React / Redux,Experience with Azure App Service, Azure DevOps, Docker.Security ClearanceRequired.ImportantThis is a business-to-business engagement.
