- Work with team members to design exciting land development and municipal infrastructure projects including: site developments, municipal upgrades, water resources, watermain and sewage collection & rehabilitation, road design, etc.
- Prepare analyses, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and reports
- Provide technical advisory services for engineering projects
- Provide mentorship to new and existing junior staff
- Supporting field staff throughout contract administration and field reviews for projects under construction
- Actively participate in the design and provide direction to the team throughout the design process
- Liaise with various municipal/utility/approval agencies
- Assist in the prepare RFP's, Bid and Proposal documents; and
- Other duties as assigned
- 6-10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure or land development experience for Public and Private Sector projects;
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in civil engineering from an accredited institution;
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Professional Licensee (P.L. Eng.) or Professional Technologist (P. Tech) designation in Alberta;
- Knowledge and application of local standards and guidelines;
- Knowledge and application of Environmental standards and guidelines;
- Robust design experience on municipal and/or private sector projects;
- Experience with sewer, watermain, and road design;
- Familiarity with local planning/approval processes;
- Experience working with various Alberta municipalities and First Nations is an asset;
