The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for building Univar business partnerships and growing sales of existing Univar customers by gaining understanding of all aspects of the customers business and utilizing Univar sales processes to uncover and close new business opportunities. This position requires effective territory management and business planning capabilities to implement our strategies to enhance sales performance within the assigned geography.What You’ll Do:
- Conduct sales calls via telephone, Microsoft teams, or Video Chat to increase profitable sales growth and territory penetration
- Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities within customer accounts and negotiate efficiently to overcome obstacles and gain customer commitment
- Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Shows curiosity about industry and global trends
- Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to customers
- Co-ordinate with Purchasing department to ensure availability of product
- Collaborate with sales team members to share best practices and drive account growth
- Document all account activity in the CRM system (Salesforce.com)
- Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years of sales experience
- Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com
- Ability to handle time and resources efficiently in order to achieve goals
- Excellent problem solving and consultative selling skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Adaptable and demonstrates strong work ethic with the initiative to work independently
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors and end-users
