- Conduct financial analysis, research, and valuation analysis to determine the value of businesses, securities, and assets for various purposes, including shareholder buy-outs, succession planning, dispute advisory, executive compensation, financial reporting, and tax.
- Assist in the preparation of valuation reports for clients, including analyzing financial statements, researching industry data, and creating financial models.
- Collaborate with the dispute advisory team to assist in the preparation of expert reports and testimony relating to damage quantification in litigation matters.
- Prepare financial models and perform calculations to assist in the quantification of damages for lost profits, business interruption, and other economic damages.
- Analyze financial data and documents to determine the financial impact of various scenarios and present findings to the dispute advisory team.
- Assist in the preparation of settlement negotiations and participate in mediation sessions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services and the growth of the practice.
- Participate in professional development activities and continuing education to maintain technical proficiency and stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation or close to having the required hours
- Interest in or already pursuing the CBV designation.
- Two to three years of experience in audit, accounting, finance or valuation and/or dispute advisory support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
