- Provide leadership for the company in the areas of HR Systems, HR Data Management & Analytics, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), Policies & Compliance, and HR processes.
- Ensure that the company's HRIS systems are setup, configured, and continually optimized to drive efficient and effective processes to enable the delivery of world class People and Culture services.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate, simplify and streamline our systems and processes.
- Oversee the management of HR data to ensure data integrity.
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve HR data reporting and analytics to provide meaningful reporting and insight for the People & Culture function and the business.
- Build and continually improve compensation and benefits structures including total rewards strategy, pay structure, job evaluation process, benefit program design, bonus program design, and other perks and rewards.
- Conduct surveys and research to maintain up to date industry market data as it relates to Total Rewards. This includes deeply understanding Compensation & Benefits in our market and making strategic recommendations to continually update and improve our Total Rewards offering.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits administration team to ensure employees and the business are receiving the support and service required and that any program, policy, or legislative changes are reflected in our pay and benefits administration processes.
- Ensure that all employee lifecycle transaction such as hiring, onboarding, transfers, pay and benefits, and terminations have smooth and consistent processes.
- Maintain understanding of all applicable employment law, legislation and case law and ensure updating of company policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Ensure all employee contracts and letters are up to date and maintain to ensure compliance, efficiency and a positive employee experience.
- Provide leadership and insights for the entire People & Culture function regarding HR best practices to help drive efficiency and effectiveness of the functions' programs, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Oversee the development, management, updating, communication and training for all company wide HR policies.
- Lead the ongoing development, enhancements, and management of the company's onboarding programs, tools and processes, including overseeing new hire onboarding feedback surveys.
- Oversee exit interview process for the company, conduct analysis and provide reporting on insights and trends regarding employee turnover across the company.
- Support other aspects of the People and Culture function and provide mentorship to other members of the team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned to support the success of our people and the business
- 15+ years of professional Human Resources experience;
- Degree in Human Resources or related field;
- Deep Human Resources Operations, HR System, Total Rewards, and HR Compliance experience gained from supporting organizations with operations across Canada;
- Experience supporting multiple business units within a company with operations spanning across multiple provincial/territory jurisdictions across Canada;
- CPHR designation preferred;
- Certified Compensation Professional (CPC) designation considered an asset;
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation considered an asset;
- Strong understanding of employment legislation across Canada;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationship across organizations;
- Customer service centric style with ability to provide world class Human Resources services that delight internal and external customers.
