- Maintain and manage a full set of books, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle payroll processing for a small team, reviewing and validating timesheets submitted by store managers.
- Generate and review financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Oversee invoice processing, billing, and data entry to ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement and optimize in-house accounting systems.
- Perform intermediate-level tasks in Excel, such as data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting operations.
- Support year-end audit preparation and provide documentation as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
- Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle a manageable but varied workload.
- Ability to work fully on-site in Toronto, Ontario, with a collaborative and detail-oriented attitude.
