- Serve as a role model for workers, demonstrating safety leadership and best practices.

- Monitor work performance to ensure adherence to Morgan’s Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
- Collaborate with employees, supervisors, and management to identify and mitigate site hazards.
- Perform worksite inspections, audits, and assessments, following up with coaching and support for corrective actions.
- Identify trends and leading safety indicators, sharing insights with teams and management.
- Investigate incidents and near misses with site teams and management, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated.
- Communicate policies, practices, and updates to workers while staying informed of any changes from HSE leadership.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance the safety management program and introducing industry best practices.
- Travel extensively to various project locations as the “go-to” safety resource.
- Minimum of 5 years of Safety Advisor experience in heavy equipment or civil construction.
- High school diploma (required) with relevant post-secondary education (an asset).
- NCSO designation or OH&S designation (required).
- CSO/CSTS/ Ground Disturbance/ H2S Alive is required.
- Standard/Intermediate First Aid certification (required)
- This position is field based and may travel to multiple locations as per project requirements.
- Willingness to travel within Canada if required.
- Flexibility to work day/night shift as required.
- Shift rotations to be confirmed; must be flexible to work various rotations as required.
- Advanced knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations and standards.
- Clean driving abstract.
- Experience in heavy civil equipment operations (mining experience is a strong asset).
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect with diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to show initiative and drive tasks to completion.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk on various terrains, lift up to 50lbs, and work various schedules/rotations.

- Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day.
- Must be able to work day or night shifts.
