For information about the OISE Library, seeYour Opportunity:Reporting to the Director of the OISE Library in this 14 month term position, you will be a strong administrator, team builder and leader who provides senior level support in administrative, operational, management and budgetary areas. You will work with members of the OISE Library team to continue to build a library culture that is welcoming and inclusive.As Access Services Manager, OISE Library, you will provide overall leadership to permanent and casual unionized staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, supporting professional development, and scheduling staff. You will oversee the operation and delivery of services in the Access Services Department and will take an active role in formulating and updating user-centered policies and procedures with a focus on equity, inclusion, and diversity. Informed by community consultation and operational statistics, you will recommend improvements to library services and spaces. You will work closely with the OISE Facilities and Services team to ensure that library facilities are safe and well-maintained, and with colleagues in the Library's IT Department to ensure the smooth operation of computers and other technologies in the library. You will review and approve ground floor event booking requests and will help to develop and implement sustainability-focused plans for the Library's services, facilities, and work processes.QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM)EDUCATION:
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supervising staff in a library environment preferred.
- Knowledge of the University of Toronto Libraries system, and the integrated library software, including the online catalogue is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- This is a 14 Month Term Position
- Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
- Backup for Saturday shift rotation if required
- May occasionally need to work an evening shift until 9pm
