This position provides hands-on experience in a controlled shop environment and is designed to support the development of a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in component maintenance.

Apply today to join our team!***This is a resident role based in Kamloops, BCEssential ResponsibilitiesAssists with the inspection, disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft components under the direction of the Component Shop ManagerPerforms component maintenance tasks as assigned by the Component Shop ManagerConducts all work in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals (CMMs), and applicable standards of airworthinessAccurately completes all required maintenance documentation, task cards, and component records prior to submissionEnsures all applicable maintenance alerts, service bulletins, and internal memos are read, understood, and complied withIdentifies potential defects, unserviceable conditions, or Service Difficulty Report (SDR) situations and reports them to the Component Shop ManagerAssists with troubleshooting component discrepancies to determine an appropriate course of rectificationSupports parts identification, tagging, segregation, and traceability in accordance with regulatory and company requirementsMaintains a clean, organized, and safe component shop and work areaAssists licensed AMEs with component testing, rigging, measurements, and inspections as requiredMay assist with basic sheet metal, composite, or electrical component tasks under supervision, where applicablePerforms other related duties as assigned in support of component shop operationsQualifications:Possess Transport Canada AME M Training Diploma.Previous hands-on line experience on aircraft in the Summit Helicopters fleet preferred.Hold a valid Canadian Passport and possess a valid driver’s licenseAbility to take direction and learn quicklyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a team, as well as work independentlyFlexibility to work shifts including afternoons and weekendsAdditional InformationSummit Helicopters, a member of the Ledcor Group of Companies, delivers helicopter aviation solutions with one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry.
