- Lead the annual budgeting process for Specialty Gas operations and support strategic financial planning.
- Implement global best-practice manufacturing standards across Canadian operations.
- Develop and maintain staffing models for all PGP Cylinder Operations across Canada.
- Provide operational strategy and oversight for medical, helium, hydrogen, and specialty gas product lines.
- Partner with commercial teams on proposals, customer engagements, and new product commercialization activities.
- Ensure all plant operators are trained, qualified, and supported through effective capability development programs.
- Oversee IMSS/Traccess utilization, content accuracy, and ongoing training compliance.
- Maintain cGMP standards and ensure full regulatory and process safety compliance.
- Lead engineering change management processes and conduct process safety reviews, including audits, HAZOP, and risk assessments.
- Manage corrective action follow-up to ensure timely resolution.
- Represent the organization in industry forums such as CGA and HRAI.
- Provide KPI management including definition, reporting, analysis, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary interface for operational systems and IS requirements within Canadian operations.
- Maintain key operational databases and deliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen) to drive operational excellence.
- Support initiatives related to QC/QA, SAP, and ISO9000 standards (considered assets).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Operations Management (MBA is an asset).
- Minimum 10 years of plant management experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Process Safety Management experience.
- Demonstrated success implementing operational improvements across multiple plants or product lines.
- Proven ability to introduce new technologies to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
- Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive meaningful improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
