ManufacturingCompetitive salary $135,000 – $175,000 based on experience, with bonus, benefitsOur client, an established and growing food manufacturer, is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to lead operations within a fast-paced, high-volume processing facility. The organization distributes across Canada and operates in an environment where quality, efficiency, and food safety are critical. This role will oversee day-to-day plant performance, ensuring operational discipline, strong labour management, and consistent production output. The Plant Manager will play a key leadership role in strengthening operational structure, improving productivity, and supporting continued growth.The RoleLead daily plant operations including production, sanitation, quality, maintenance, and warehouse coordination within a multi-shift manufacturing environmentDrive operational efficiency through structured labour planning, workflow optimization, and improved production sequencingEstablish and monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, labour utilization, waste reduction, and service levelsPartner with quality and food safety teams to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standardsDevelop and lead a team of supervisors and frontline employees while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvementCollaborate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure production aligns with customer demand and supply chain requirementsIdentify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce downtimeSupport capital improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and operational modernization projectsManage plant budgets, labour costs, and operational expenses while maintaining service levels and product qualityBuild stronger operational systems, reporting structures, and management routines to support sustainable performanceThe Ideal Candidate10+ years of progressive leadership experience within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or similarly regulated production environmentsDemonstrated success managing plant operations in a high-volume, fast-paced production settingStrong understanding of labour planning, production scheduling, and operational workflow managementExperience operating within food safety and quality frameworks such as GMP, HACCP, or similar regulatory standardsProven ability to lead large frontline teams while developing supervisors and mid-level leadershipStrong operational and financial acumen with the ability to manage costs, productivity, and plant performance metricsHands-on leadership style with a visible presence on the production floorExperience implementing operational improvements, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiativesFamiliarity with ERP systems, production reporting tools, and data-driven operational managementPost-secondary education in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline considered an assetJobID#
