Remote Flexibility: Hybrid Remote FlexibilityOur client, a well-established mid-sized law firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join their team. This firm has a long-standing reputation for excellence across multiple practice areas and offers a collaborative and professional work environment. Employees are considered a key component of the firm’s continued success.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and litigation supporting 1 senior partner on a variety of files
- Assist with construction, employment, and corporate-commercial litigation matters
- Manage and maintain litigation files, including organization and tracking of key deadlines
- Prepare, format, and revise legal documents and correspondence
- Coordinate scheduling, court filings, and communications with clients and external parties
- Support overall practice management, ensuring efficiency and organization
- Work within a customized MS Word and document management system (DMS)
- Minimum 5+ years of litigation assistant experience
- Experience in construction litigation, employment litigation, and corporate-commercial litigation
- Strong understanding of managing a litigation practice
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong client service orientation
- Proficiency in MS Word and experience working within a DMS environment
