Crow’s Theatre is committed to building a more diverse workplace and encourages all qualified applicants to apply.JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Artistic Director, the Assistant to the Artistic Director will manage the Artistic Director’s tasks and responsibilities. They will act as a point of contact for inquiries, working to ensure professional communications, the stewardship of donors, and effective scheduling. They will provide support for the Artistic Director’s responsibilities in advancing Crow’s Theatre philanthropy goals, programmatic goals, and relations with its Board of Directors. The Assistant to the Artistic Director will work closely with the Associate Artistic Director, the Executive Director, and all department heads.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide a warm, professional, and well-organized point of contact for Crow’s Theatre and the Artistic Director, both virtually and in person.
  • Manage the schedules of the Artistic Director, responding to inquiries, arranging appointments, prioritizing Artistic Director appointments, and dealing with scheduling.
  • Be a point of contact for the Artistic Director, on email, mail, phone or in person, responding to inquiries as necessary, required and directed.
  • Manage correspondence as required by the Artistic Director.
  • Ensure that the Artistic Director is briefed and prepped with paperwork for meetings and events as required by their schedule.
  • Attend departmental meetings, ensuring follow-through on action items, and assisting in tasks and action items flowing from meetings.
  • Support the planning and execution of Philanthropy events by completing tasks assigned by the Director of Philanthropy and the relevant Crow’s staff.
  • Attend Crow’s openings, performances and Philanthropy events as a representative of Crow’s Theatre.
  • Assist the Artistic Director in achieving his goals and objectives (i.e. drafting correspondence, making phone calls, scheduling meetings with prospects, and building relationships with donors).
  • In collaboration with the Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, lead and support proposal generation, prospect research, and donor cultivation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all highly sensitive, personal, financial, board, donor, and patron information.
  • Oversee the management of the Artistic Director’s company expenses.
  • Assist the Artistic Director with support materials (e.g. online research, document review, etc), ensuring that appropriate systems, files and archives are kept on behalf of Crow’s Theatre.
  • Other duties as assigned.
