- Strong understanding of provincial markets, underwriting criteria, and company portals
- 3+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience
- General Level 2 Insurance License or currently working towards level 2 and working towards CAIB/CIP (financial support provided!)
- Complete renewal reviews and provide advice to either clients or other advisors to identify and address potential gaps in coverage, with a focus on upselling, cross-selling and retention.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships through proactive communication.
- Maintain and process policy renewals according to Westland’s standards.
- Assist broader team of advisors and management in providing feedback on procedures, market trends, changes in underwriting guidelines and other industry updates in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Support with reporting, additional projects and/or administrative work as needed.
- Train new employees across the organization on retention standards and renewal workflows.
